Mavis Staples Concert with Kelly Hogan - November 19th

Join us for our annual fall benefit concert this November featuring Mavis Staples!  Hailed by NPR as “one of America’s defining voices of freedom and peace, Mavis is both a Blues and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer; a civil rights icon; a GRAMMY Award-winner; a chart-topping soul/gospel/R&B pioneer; a National Arts Awards Lifetime Achievement recipient; and a Kennedy Center honoree. 

Hear Mavis’ clarion call to love, to faith, to justice, to brotherhood, to joy on Friday, November 19th at the historic Thalia Hall (Pilsen).

Opening for Mavis is Kelly Hogan.  The native Georgian has sung with the Drive-By Truckers, the Decemberists, gospel legend Mavis Staples, Iron and Wine, Jakob Dylan, and recorded and toured with Neko Case as her back up singer.
