There is nothing more rewarding than giving back and making a difference in the lives of people in this great community.
YOUR SUPPORT WILL...
Further our community reach to find every pocket of hunger.
Sustain our Nutrition Education and Wellness Programming to help individuals live healthy, active lives.
Help families experiencing a temporary loss of wages put food on the table.
Give From Your IRA
If you are 70½ years old or older and have a traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA), find out how you can use your required minimum distribution (RMD) to support Beyond Hunger through an IRA Charitable Rollover gift.
Donor Advised Funds
Donor Advised Funds (DAF) are the fastest-growing giving method to manage charitable donations. Donor Advised Funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend donations to non-profit organizations from their fund over time.
Gifts of Stock
Each gift of stock to Beyond Hunger strengthens our work while providing tax benefits for donors. If you would like to make a gift of stock to Beyond Hunger please notify Teri Miller, Director of Development, at Teri@GoBeyondHunger.org or 708-613-4200.
Wills and Estates
You can arrange a bequest in your will or living trust and ensure that Beyond Hunger will keep working to end hunger in our communities.
What are the tax benefits of planned gifts
- Donors can contribute appreciated property, like securities or real estate, receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the asset, and pay no capital gains tax on the transfer.
- Donors who establish a life-income gift receive a tax deduction for the full, fair market value of the assets contributed, minus the present value of the income interest retained; if they fund their gift with appreciated property they pay no upfront capital gains tax on the transfer.
- Gifts payable to charity upon the donor’s death, like a bequest or a beneficiary designation in a life insurance policy or retirement account, do not generate a lifetime income tax deduction for the donor, but they are exempt from estate tax. (See PlannedGiving.com for more regarding tax benefits)
