Each Pantry Pale Ale will allow Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry to provide 3 meals to our neighbors in need, including the over 780 families we serve in Forest Park.

Forest Park Impact

Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry serves 12 zip codes across Cook County including portions of Chicago and it's near-west suburbs, including Forest Park.

In FY2016 we served over 780 families in Forest Park alone.  Each family we serve receives over 50 pounds of emergency food plus access to vital hunger-relief services.

In Forest Park, 18.2% of residents are considered food insecure, meaning they lack sufficient access to the necessary quantity and quality of food for their families.

Employment status, not poverty, is the leading indicator of food security (according to Feeding America).

To combat food insecurity in Forest Park, we provided over 37,050 meals to the 780 families that we served from Forest Park.  In addition to that, we hosted a free summer meals site at St. John Lutheran Church in Forest Park.

During the summer of 2016, over 340 kids and teens under 18 received free lunches as part of the program.

The proceeds raised from the Pantry Pale Ale will go a long way towards reducing food insecurity in Forest Park.
