Volunteer of the Month: May 2021

Meet May's Volunteer of the Month: Michael Swaine:

Michael has been a loyal volunteer with Beyond Hunger, starting in November of 2017. You can find Michael at the pantry helping receive and our delivery from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. He also picks up food rescues from area grocery stores and has been helpful in loading and unloading cases of toilet paper each month from the Michael Lewis Co—and transporting those cases back to the pantry.  Beyond Hunger's Home Delivery participants benefit from his compassion as well - he's a regular volunteer delivering groceries for homebound residents in Oak Park and Chicago's Austin neighborhood. We appreciate all that Michael contributes to the Volunteer team!
