July is here and we will be talking about SWAP (Supporting Wellness at Pantries) this month. SWAP is a stoplight nutrition ranking system designed to help promote healthy food choices at food banks and food pantries.
March is National Nutrition Month which focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. At the Pantry we celebrate this month with demonstrations, raffles, prizes, Nutrition Quiz Corner, and fun food demonstrations.
New Near, new you. We have a tendency to set goals to "get healthy", "eat better", and "get in shape" in the New Year, and this month we'll focus on how to get there. Topics include MyPlate, eating more fruits and vegetables, and healthy snacking.
